It's a strange world out there—and Uncle John's Bathroom Reader loves it! Open this book anywhere and read about: weird news, unusual people, horrible movies, and the most outlandish animals, businesses, histories, body parts, Web sites, rituals, music, organizations, buildings, books, carsand bathrooms, of course. Other topics include the woman who married the Eiffel Tower; snails that shoot love darts” and parrots that hunt sheep; the government’s secret plan to poison the sky; demented dentists, cops gone crazy, and real Frankensteins; ghosts, aliens, elves, and the giant people who live in Mt. Shasta; and hundreds of other oddities from all over the universe.

| Customer Reviews: Uncle John Has Done It Again April 26, 2010 PaganDeva2000 (Jamacia, NY United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
As usual, interesting tidbits in a non-intimidating format. You have short stories, medium and longer three-plus page stories. All are wonderful to read while riding the subway train or bus, just before bedtime, during lunch, or anytime you want to keep your brain active with knowledge but no headache.
Gross! :) June 12, 2010 ERiC AiXeLsyD (Pittsburgh, PA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love all of the Uncle John's books, and this one (as the title suggests) focuses on the incredibly strange. Don't read it while you're eating! Ha ha ha. I did, however, breeze through it in about a week. I usually read before bed as well as in the throne room, but I couldn't put this one down. I was choosing weird over sleep, I guess!
Ditto May 26, 2010 James Beran (USA) I have almost the complete collection of Bathroom Readers and could not agree with the first review more. There is always interesting information and not bad news as seen in the newspapers. Why these never made it to the Best Sellers list, I will never know. I think more people would grab a copy if it was in a plain brown cover. Who wants to be seen reading a book from the bathroom. lol
Another winner from Uncle John and the BRI June 26, 2010 Ishie (Sacramento) If you are a trivia fan, Uncle John's Bathroom Readers are pure delight. They are full of fascinating, often obscure, occasionally revolting information. This one doesn't disappoint. Good not just for bathroom reading, but anywhere or anytime you want something you can read briefly and then put aside without losing the momentum of a storyline.
An uproarious collection of strange-but-true facts, highly recommended July 18, 2010 Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) Any general lending library likely has battered copies of other Uncle John's Bathroom Readers around: it's the 'Reader's Digest' trivia book item of choice, with its outrageous collections of fun facts, and The World's Gone Crazy is no exception. From state laws on marrying cousins to odd reasons insurance companies have given not to provide coverage, this is an uproarious collection of strange-but-true facts, highly recommended as easy reading for all.
